The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential benefit available for employees of Samaritan’s employer group plan clients. The program offers a combination of services that improve health and balance in all aspects of the member’s life, while helping to promote a more positive and productive workplace for your commercial clients.
Counseling services are a key part of the program. In-person, phone or virtual sessions are offered to address concerns such as:
- Depression and anxiety.
- Family and relationship issues.
- Workplace challenges.
- Stress management.
- Alcohol or substance misuse.
- Grief and loss.
Crisis counselors are available 24/7. The program also offers phone and video coaching sessions for goal setting, healthy habits and personal development.
A number of other services that contribute to the well-being of the whole person are available as well, including:
- Assistance finding childcare, eldercare and other caregiving resources.
- Financial coaching.
- Legal consultation.
- Gym discounts.
- Fertility health support.
- Identity theft consultation.
EAP services can be provided to the insured employee or their family members.
The program is administered by Canopy, a recognized leader and innovator in the development of EAPs. Canopy’s member portal also features personal and professional development videos and webinars, self-assessments, online legal tools and more.
