The following COVID-19 services are in place for Samaritan Advantage Plan members:
Your IHN-CCO benefits did not change when the public health emergency ended on May 11, 2023. However, the state has begun checking if current Oregon Health Plan members still qualify for OHP or other state benefits. This process is sometimes called “redetermination.”
Between now and early 2024, the state will review your case to see if you remain eligible for OHP. For more details on the redetermination process or other state benefits that may be changing when the public health emergency ends, visit the OHA End of Public Health Emergency page.
COVID-19 Self-Testing Kits Are Still Available to Members
COVID-19 self-testing kits (also referred to as at-home tests or over-the-counter tests) are available at local pharmacies.
Samaritan Health Plans’ coverage provisions put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic have ended.
Over-the-counter, or OTC, at-home COVID-19 tests, are no longer free. If you wish to purchase an at-home test, you will pay the entire cost.
Other COVID-19 tests, provided by a laboratory or ordered by your provider, are no longer free. Cost shares will apply and will be applicable to your plan’s cost-sharing arrangements.
