Checking Member Benefits & Eligibility Is Now Easier February 21, 2020 Samaritan Health Plans is pleased to announce a new option available for checking member eligibility and benefits in real-time. Real-time eligibility and benefit inquiry, or 270/271, is available for all lines of business we offer and is available to our contracted providers through our clearinghouse, Change Healthcare. While Samaritan Health Services groups have this ability through Epic, all non-Samaritan contracted providers now have the option to access this feature. If you are already a client of Change Healthcare, you should have received a notice of this new feature. If you work with a different practice management software vendor (PMS), please contact them to see if they can enable connectivity to this feature. If your current vendor needs additional assistance, they can contact Change Healthcare online or call 866-371-9066.
